Hollywood 60's-90's

Arthur Penn; Bonnie & Clyde
Didn't enjoy this film all that much the first time and it has not improved in my eyes. Maybe my tastes are more modern but the story and techniques come across as dated. Having studied more modern film and techniques may not have help in this regard.

David O. Russell; Three Kings
I am a fan of this film. The story is well laid out, the cinematography and style is a bit different from other mainstream Hollywood films. Tangents and explanations that are tied into the story so you hardly even notice them. As opposed to Bonnie & Clyde  the techniques are hidden by the story, again this could just be because Penn's film is not to my taste. Three Kings I would recommend to anyone.
