Persona; Ingmar BergmanThe prelude is about saying this is a film. The film shows a take on the results of prying into another persons inner-most self. If you spend all your time with someone you create a new persona based on how the two of you interact. In some situations one persons persona will be stronger than the other but when the situation changes then the other may come to bare. These two women send so much time together that they form a new persona that is based on their interactions. One talks the other listens, listens and learns, becoming more a part of her.
They switch persona's and balance each other but ultimately the film is about being a film. The character is the person who the audience sees and hears, while the actor exists as a part of them. If the character may cause the actor harm however then the actor will speak up.
Possibly if the actor spend to much time pretending to have another persona they will in the end take that persona on.
