Still a popular genre; Film Noir somehow catches ones attention and drags you through the story weather it is good or bad. The unpleasant nature of the story gives the film an attractive aura, somehow as viewers we want to take part in the story because we are not part of the story. As in we are intrigued by the prospects of it on a level but would never want to be physically involved in such activities.
